Using both the bodywork and the ground work it can help your animal:
  • walk calmly on a leash
  • alleviate behavior issues without fear or force
  • comfort and support your animal through illness, recovery and aging
  •  improve performance and well-being
  • enhance the human/animal bond
  • calm down when agitated
  • car sickness and separation anxiety
  • excessive barking
  • help for dogs that chew inappropriately
  • jumping up
  • resistant to grooming
  • nervous, tense or stressed animals and their caretakers
  • help for thunder and loud noise phobias
  • help for litter box issues (cats)
The TTouch Method is currently being used by dog & cat owners, trainers, breeders and veterinarians, as well as in animal shelters around the world.  It offers a positive, no-force approach to training, BUT it is much more than just a training method.  Using a combination of specific TTouches, Leading Exercises and the Confidence Course (exercises over obstacles), a dog’s performance and health is improved, common behavior issues are solved and physical problems are positively influenced.

A LITTLE ABOUT MY BACKGROUND -

My journey began in 1986 when I took my first Reiki certification.  I knew then that I wanted to work with people and animals in a very special way, a way that would eliminate fear and build self-esteem.  I wanted to be able to communicate love and acceptance through my touch and my voice.  Most of my work for many years was focused on people, but in 1992 I began to explore other areas, and changing my focus to working with animals.  I took a trip to explore a school that trained dogs as guide dogs, as I observed their trainers (mostly military trainers) I found I did not agree with Many of their methods.  I vowed I would resort to mistreating an animal in the "name" of training.  I decided that I just wasn't cut out to be a trainer.
In 1996 I became an Evaluator for Delta Society's Pet Partner Program and in their training book I learned about TTouch Method.  I immediately signed up for a class and in 1998 graduated from the TTouch Method Practitioner Program. I began combining my TTouch background with other styles of compassionate training. I have now developed my own unique style of working with animals that allows me to give animals a gentle yet consistent message. My program creates confidence and offers clarity of communication in an environment that encourages the greatest potential to surface for you and your animal(s).  My desire to learn an effective yet gentle way to work with animals has helped me create my own eclectic style blending my training skills, intuition and a lifelong love and respect for animals.
Always remember, "where knowledge ends, violence begins."  So if your trianer uses force or violence with your animal, be your animals advocate and stop them immediately.
This program has helped my private clients and is the basis for the many workshops that I have conducted over the past 14 years.

The TTouch organization has over 1000 Tellington TTouch Companion Animal and Equine practitioners in 26 countries around the world.  The TTouch Method promotes good health and offers positive solutions to common behavioral and health related problems.

How I became involved with TTouch...
Valentino

co

My cat, Valentino was the animal that brought me to TTouch.  He was a beautiful, sweet boy who ended up passing away about 2 years after I became a TTouch Practitioner.  He was having some problems and was diagnosed as having an enlarged heart.  What we didn’t know was that he had a tumor in his heart sac.  I truly believe that TTouch helped me to  extended his life at least a year.  He passed away at 16 years old.

This web site is dedicated to Valentino with the hope that more people will find and use holistic treatments and training methods with their animal companions.  The purpose of this web page is to build a network of people who can help you and your animal live a full, happy, healthy life using all different types of treatment and communication.that lead me to TTouch.

ANIMALS AS TEACHERS
This is a picture of my beloved dog Mandy; she was a faithful companion for many years when I was a child.  She blessed the world with many puppies, as did many dogs of her era, most people in the 60's did not have their animals spayed or neutered.  I loved this dog and was very upset when she disappeared one day from our country home;  I will never forget her. She was my greatest teacher, she taught me patience, kindness, forgiveness and a lot about loving unconditionally.  She will always live on in my heart.
